Life Story
Brenda Romine was born June 30, 1963 to Sell & Viola Romine in Cincinnati, OH. She attended the historical Columbian Elementary and went on to graduate from Walnut Hills High in 1981.
That same year (December 16,1981) she also gave birth to her first-born Dante Dion Romine.
Brenda was very goal driven and determined to provide for her family, and through hard work and patience was able to purchase her first home at the age of 25. Brenda went on to work for Belcan Corpration where she exceled in her career as a buyer/purchase negotiator. In 1991, she married Darrell Jerome Sawyer, and through that union Alesha Marie Sawyer was born (February 5, 1992).
Brenda was a faithful member of the Rockdale Baptist Church for many years where she served as the church secretary for more than 10+ years. She served her community faithfully day in and day out. She would deliver bread and food to the local food shelters and nursing homes, and stock the church food pantry every week with her mother Viola by her side. In 1999, she was diagnosed with a rare lung disease that would force her into early retirement, but that didn’t stop her from continuing to help hundreds of people inside and outside of the church. She was very talented and used the gifts God gave to her to help those in need. Brenda was a true servant of the Lord and devoted to her calling to Christ.
On April 26, 2023, Brenda was called home to be with the Lord. She leaves behind her children Dante Dion Romine (Danisha), Alesha Marie Sawyer, and Shunte Sawyer; Six grandchildren Dante Jr.(grandson), Danya (granddaughter), Danica (granddaughter), Cairo (grandson) Amaree (granddaughter) and Brielle (granddaughter); 2 brothers Oliver Romine (Deborah) and Gregory Romine and a host of nieces and nephews.
