James Long passed away on 28 May 2022, preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Johnson, father, James Long Sr., mother, Willa Mae Dunn, stepfather Samuel Dunn and sisters Shirley Lymon and Patricia Long Upshaw Reed Grimsby.
He left behind his wife of sixty-one years, Dr. Earnesteen Gordon Long, beloved sister-in-law, Johnnie Mae Stokes, Children Dr. Ehrick Long and Amy Amina Wilkins, son-in-law, Robert L. Wilkins, frandsons, Bakari and Alim Wilkins, a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, and a small army of dear friends, students and colleagues.
Services 11:00 am of Saturday, September 10, at Western Hills Brethren in Christ Church, 2815 Robert Avenue, Cincinnati Oh 45211; and at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 11, in the Philomathean Room of Towers Hall, Otterbein University 1 South Grove Street, Westerville, OH 43081.
