LaShawn Latonya Dawson (a.k.a. Big Baby) was born to Kathy Jean Dawson and John Blunt on January
7th 1970 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

LaShawn leaves behind a large family consisting of five sisters and one brother: Tanya Lavern Dawson, Robin Renee Dawson, Tasha Lynette Dawson, Nefertteria Pecola Dawson, Marie Ann Dawson, and Leonard Vincent Dawson. LaShawn was the third oldest after Robin, also LaShawn’s children: Nyresha Shawniece Dawson, James Phillip Freeman the 5, Jamaine Phillip Freeman, and her deceased baby boy Jordon Rayshawn Dawson (2013). LaShawn’s grandkids: LaNyah Shawniecea Dawson, Nayonia ShaNyah Beverly, Jamaine Phillip Freeman Jr. and Dante Lee Griffin Jr and a host of nieces and nephews: BreAnna Dawson Kirkland, Brittney Andrea Dawson, Brandi Biondra Dawson, Demetrius Jermaine Bradley, Damarco Dawson, Paige Marie Brown, Paul LaMontae Brown, Davonn Jonathan Dawson, Tasha’e Davonna Dawson, Davonte Ca’rone Dawson, Dajewaun Gene Dawson, Lamonate Kawayne Dawson, Matthew Lee Hinkston Jr. Robert Daquan Kelley, Destiny Maria Kelly, Justice Marie Dawson, and Journee Maria Dawson. LaShawn’s great nieces and nephews: Ryan Cavaroe Kirkland, BreA Patricia Kirkland, Rylee Nora Kirkland, Shaquille Braelyn Kirkland, Damyen Demetrius Green, Darryn Deandre Green, Jo’nilah Ashanti Dubose, Brierra Jamyla Dawson, Dwane Eric Gunn Jr, Taniyah Renee Jackson, Tahriyah Brylynn Jackson, Royal Milan Nash, Sa’nylah Dennis, Courtney Dion Cole Jr, Lamontae Kawayne Dawson Jr, NaVea La’Naye Kiarra Dawson, Amari Roberts, Journee, and Kailee.

LaShawn was an outgoing individual who loved singing gospel music as well as R&B. She graduated from Withrow High School and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church then went on to Temple of Hope Evangelistic Church and had last joined Rockdale Baptist Church in 2012!

She was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and married Famous Familusi April 7th 2017 and resided in Dallas Texas the last 4 years of her life with her husband. LaShawn is truly loved and missed by the everyone who knew her and will never be forgotten. She always had a beautiful smile that lit the room with love, she loved to laugh and crack jokes. LaShawn was tolerant and compassionate and simply a genuine person. She was the life of the party there was nothing but fun while with her on any occasion, she loved karaoke and playing cards.

LaShawn a.k.a. (Big Baby) loved her family especially her children she just had zero tolerance for her babies with that being said to know her you had to love her and now she is back home to rest in peace.

She reunited with her baby boy.
