To the family of Ruth Phillips; I first met Ruth when she returned to Cincinnati and Union Baptist Church as a young wife and mother. I was part of the organizing of the Spiritmelodaires, and one of its first members. After moving from Cincinnati in 1965, I have kept in touch with her through the years via phone and mail, seeing her occasionally at Bell family members funerals. Truly, she was a wonderful example of a Christian lady, a mentor, and talented musician. I have many memories of our times at Union Baptist Church at BYPU, nursing home visitations, eating at Frischeson Sunday afternoons, and singing in the choir. You are in my prayers
