Elijah Moseley Jr. affectionately known as “Fooney” or “Mo” was born on December 10, 1953 to the late Mary L. Bell Mosley and Elijah Mosley Sr., in Mobile, Alabama.
Elijah attended Trinity Garden High School in Mobile, Ala then later moved to Cincinnati, OH with his aunt the late Lucy Bell Green. Elijah found work at Superior Chevrolet, Grandpa Auto Sales, and Sugar & Sprice Restaurant where he worked for over 20 yrs.
Elijah enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out with friends, cooking, cracking jokes and playing the lottery. Elijah helped many and was valuable beyond estimation, he demonstrated not just by words but by his actions. Elijah was apart of the Men’s Group at New Friendship Baptist Church. Elijah loved gardening, painting, and landscaping.
Elijah departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 1:36AM at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith Jones Mosley, one sister, Ethel Bell Johnson, four brothers, Annias Carson Bell, Marcella Mosley, Eugene Mosley and Warren Mosley, his aunt, Lucy Bell Green, cousin, Mamie L . Bell, brother-in-law, Vernon Carpenter, and niece, Lashannon Mosley.
Elijah leaves behind many memories and shared joy to: daughter, Lakeshia Watkins (Leonard) Hatcher, two sons, Mark (Raven) Mosley and Idris Mosley, all of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Annie Bell Mclendon of Hamlet, NC, and Alice Mosley of Mobile, Ala; one brother, Douglas Mosley of Mobile, AL; one sister-in-law, Sharon Armstrong of Chicago, IL; and one brother-in-law, Carlos (Deborah) Hairston of Cincinnati, OH; special cousins, Robin Coleman and Andrew Bell, both of Cincinnati, OH; best friends, Dennis Pugh, Michael Grace, and Lester Darby, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
“For i am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. For I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
