A TIME TO BE BORN…
Our beloved Sherry C. Jett Cranford was born on January 30, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Jewel and Evelyn Jett. Sherry committed her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of New Mission Baptist Church for over 30 years.
A TIME TO REST…
Mama Sherry as she was affectionately known to many was reunited with her son, DeMarco who she mourned up to the day she departed her earthly life on September 12, 2021.
A TIME TO LOVE…
Sherry was joined in Holy matrimony with her best friend Emanuel Cranford on August 12, 1995, where they shared 34 years of love, support and companionship with one another.
A TIME TO GROW…
Sherry moved her family to Mt. Healthy where she raised her children for more than 35 years. She nurtured her children’s large personalities, encouraged their extra-curricular activities and instilled in them at an early age the importance of God first, education and values. Sherry was a warrior who stood up and fought for everything she believed in. Over time she affectionately became a surrogate mother to anyone who needed her. Her nurturing nature was reflected in her career as a Personal Care Provider for the Department of Developmental Disabilities. She and her husband recently purchased their forever home in August of this year in which she got to spend two weeks preparing it with beautiful décor before she became ill.
A TIME TO REFLECT…
Sherry was a wonderful wife, amazing mother, a phenomenal grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and surrogate mother to us all. Sherry loved having her family around, she was the glue that held everyone together organizing events and family trips. Sherry loved to shop and fish. Being on the lake was her peaceful haven. She was a fierce, passionate loving woman who loved the Lord. Sherry was a prayer warrior who stood in the gap for everyone. She would put hands on you and then would lay hands on you! Cherished by all, Sherry offered her home for shelter, opened her heart to love, lent her ear to listen to our problems, a mind to protect our secrets, knees to pray on our behalf and one heck of a mouthpiece to set us straight when needed. She fed our souls spiritually and physically. Sherry was truly, “A mother’s love is the purest love you can find on earth.”
