Sarahette, or Sarah as she was known to most of her family and friends, was born to the union of Nathaniel and Juliette Allen on September 20, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the fifth of six children born to this union.
She attended the Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Withrow High School in 1959. Sarah received an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Cincinnati Technical College in 1991. She was employed as a Respiratory Therapist at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. After the death of her parents she became a member of Golden Leaf Baptist Church where, for more than twenty years, she was a very active member.
She was united in holy matrimony to James Otis Snell in December 1973. Into this union a daughter, Janeen Antoninette, was born on Tuesday, March 13, 1975. Sarah loved to cook, travel, play online word games and puzzles and sing. Sarah's most favorite pasttime was reading and studying the Word of the Lord.
