Patricia Anne Turner Anthony was born on August 19, 1946 to John Murphy Turner and Elizabeth Welch, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the fourth child born to this union.
She attended St. Simon Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln Heights High School, where she was a cheerleader. She also attended Fisk University.
Prior to becoming a Dental Assistant, Anne was a model for Barbizon Modeling Agency.
She was employed for a number of years by The Avon Company. Later, she was hired by the Village of Woodlawn in the Treasury Department. However, her passion was caring for children. She was employed for many years at various Day Care Centers, including Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Day Care Center and Ivy’s Creative Angels.
Anne met the love of her life, Tyrone Maurice Anthony and they were united in holy matrimony in 1970. To this union, two children were born: Brian K. Anthony and Tiffany L. Anthony.
Anne was kind, engaging and a thoughtful person. She loved music and dancing. She had a beautiful smile. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who committed herself to raising her children to be kind and to become productive members of society. There was also an emphasis on the pursuit of education.
Anne was a faithful member of St. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church until her health declined. She served as a Children’s Bible School Teacher and sang in the Gospel Choir.
We are grateful for her life and the contributions she made that touched the lives of others.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone, her parents, her sister, Ethel and her brother, Phoyzell.
Anne leaves for awhile: her son, Brian K. (Tiffany) Anthony and daughter, Tiffany L. Anthony; a brother, John M. (Rev. Mary) Turner, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Charles and Melvin Anthony of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Sasha, Amenah (Marcellus) Anthony Hunter; great-grandchildren, Samiyah, Anniyah and Savian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
