The beloved and beautiful Beatrice (Bea) England Conner was born September 18, 1943 to the late Carrie Hollis England and John D. England. Bea is a native of Sulligent, Alabama, but she was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Bea graduated from Withrow High School. She attended Bennett College in Greensboro, N.C. and acquired her degree in education from Mount St. Joseph University in Delhi, Ohio.
Bea loved the Lord and accepted him at an early age. She began her faith journey at Phillips Memorial C.M.E She'd been a faithful member of Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. She also enjoyed worshiping virtually with Westside Missionary Baptist Church located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Recently, she enjoyed attending Thursday evening services at Crossroads Church (Oakley).
Bea was a teacher by nature. She taught within the Cincinnati Public School system for over 40 years. She was beloved by her students, families and peers at Washburn Elementary School (Downtown Cincinnati). Beyond her professional life, she was passionate about creating meaningful experiences for "Little People". She spent years exposing her children, grandchildren, family members and friends to the many opportunities in Cincinnati (Playhouse in the Park, Krohn Conservatory, The Cincinnati Zoo, The Cincinnati Symphony, Parky's Farm and many more).
Bea had many titles, but the one she loved the most was "Mimi". While she was primarily "Mimi" to George, Aaron and Dylan Marie, she was willing to lend her time to anyone who was in need of a "Mimi".
Bea was preceded in death by her parents and special friends Arnetta Barnes McCarty and Irvan McMurtry.
Those left to celebrate her life: her children, Lori N. Whitfield (Lonnie), and Brittany R. Conner; her sister, Corrine England, her brother Michael A.
