Stoney worked for many years at the University of Cincinnati Hospital where he was well known and liked. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. If Stoney was your friend, then you knew he was in your corner. He enjoyed making people laugh and telling stories.
Stoney passed on August 2, 2010 leaving behind his devoted mother, Delores Daniels; father, Willie Griffin; longtime companion, Sandra Johnson; his four children, Chevalier Jr., LeKenya, Damonte, and Shavonte; granddaughter, Narya; two sisters, Daphne Henrichsen of Waldorf, Maryland and Alicia Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Hosiea Adams of Atlanta, Georgia and Reginald Adams of New Castle, Delaware; his grandmother, Laura Mae Watts of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Longtime friends, Donald Burns (DB, James Jackson and Dudley Bohannon.

He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; Who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; Who has left the world better than he found it; Who has looked for the best in others and given the best he had; Whose life was an inspiration Whose memory is a benediction
