Dale Luther Ellis, age 63, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Dale was born to the late Helen (Selby) Ellis and Oliver Ellis, Sr. He was the youngest of eleven children and was blessed to grow up in a loving family in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

As an adult, Dale was baptized at First Baptist Church of Hazelwood, where he faithfully served and found great joy in doing God’s work. He especially treasured being “PopPop” and took immense pride in his children and grandchildren.

Known by many as one of the kindest people they had ever met, Dale’s greatest gift was spreading love and kindness.

Dale was an avid movie enthusiast and a passionate sports fan with an impressive knowledge of athletics at every level.

Dale leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Rosalyn Ellis; his son, Andre’ Ellis (Jamaira); his daughter, Jessica Ellis; and his beloved grandchildren, Camille and Jonathan and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday November 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Hazelwood; with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Burial will be November 9, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
